Ceres Power and British Gas jointly win the Rushlight Hydrogen and Fuel Cell award. The two companies won the award for their collaboration on combined heat and power systems for small-scale residential micro-generation.

Ceres Power, the AIM-quoted fuel cell company, has won the UK materials industry’s top accolade. It has been awarded the prestigious 2005 Gold Medal from the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining in recognition of its “significant contribution to the industrial application of materials”.
Ceres Power was the overall winner of the Carbon Trust Innovation Awards. The award recognises achievement in both public and private sectors by those individuals and organisations taking imaginative steps or developing new technologies to reduce the UK's CO2 emissions.
