Ceres Power was selected as the only fuel cell company in the government’s new Energy Research Partnership (ERP). Ceres works closely with key energy companies including BP, Shell, E.ON, ITI Energy, Scottish & Southern Electricity, BNFL, Alstom, Mitsui Babcock and National Grid, as well as public sector organisations including DEFRA, the DTI and the Carbon Trust.
Ceres Power's CEO, Peter Bance, was Chairman of the UK's fuel cell association, Fuel Cells UK between 2005 - 2009.
Ceres Power hosts a G8 delegation. An international delegation from as far afield as China, Canada and Brazil visited the Sussex headquarters of Ceres Power to learn about the company’s world leading fuel cell technology.
Gordon Brown saw a UK company able to lead the world in environmentally-friendly energy technology when he visited Crawley-based fuel cell technology company, Ceres Power. The tour of the research and development facility, pilot plant and product facility was part of a visit to the South East to learn more about the needs of the region’s world class businesses in meeting the future challenges of global competitiveness.
