Mission

Ceres Power is committed to providing alternative energy solutions to address the global challenges of reducing emissions, increasing fuel efficiency and improving energy security, by utilising its unique fuel cell technology in products sold into the microgeneration market.

Activities

Ceres Power has developed a mass manufacturable technology platform: the Fuel Cell Module, using the company's patented solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) technology and operating on mains natural gas or packaged fuels such as LPG.

Ceres Power has built a high calibre team with experience in a range of industry sectors including engineering, power generation, oil and gas, automotive and materials.

Our employees are engaged in a number of value-adding activities, including:

History

The Ceres Fuel Cell

The company was founded in May 2001 to commercialise the unique core materials science technology developed at Imperial College during the 1990's. In November 2004, the company went public on the Alternative Investors Market (AIM) of the London Stock Exchange.

Today, Ceres Power directly employs more than 120 people with operations based in the UK, comprising a Technology Centre in Crawley and fuel cell mass manufacturing facility in Horsham, Sussex.

Ceres Power has built and developed relationships with key industry partners such as British Gas, Calor Gas and Bord Gais.
