Ceres Power technology can meet the need for reliable power, in circumstances where grid-supplied electricity is uneconomic or unreliable and conventional battery or generator systems are inadequate. Products providing reliable 'on-site' power from cylinder gas such as LPG or butane can be used for applications including uninterruptible power supplies, load-shedding solutions and remote power. These market offerings have wide applicability in developed countries and in the developing world.
Ceres is developing a product combining the Company's fuel cell module with battery storage and energy management, designed to support applications requiring instantaneous backup power in case of mains electrical failure, together with extended 'mission' durations of days or even months as needed.
