We are seeking an organized, efficient, and communicative liaison officer to coordinate between our organization and a major global entity.  In this role, you will act as the middle person between our business and the other entity to streamline operations, resolve issues, improve communications, and generally ensure that the relationship is as beneficial as possible.

Responsibilities and duties

  • Undertake an ambassadorial role for the Chinese parent company for all activities in the UK
  • Actively contribute to exploring, developing and contributing to the creation of new business opportunities that benefit both organisations
  • Ensuring timely completion of actions assigned to both organisations including updates to any necessary progress tracking or reporting mediums
  • Monitoring and influencing where necessary the delivery of the team and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the business, as well as an understanding of how that impacts the other entities of contact
  • Monitor, coordinate, and communicate strategic objectives of the business
  • Collaborate and communicate successfully with other entities outside of the business
  • Work with other members of staff to develop a greater understanding of the business and any issues that arise
  • Develop and foster relationships with the community, stakeholders, and other entities
  • Develop long term business objectives in a proactive manner
  • Collect, analyse and utilise data and feedback to identify opportunities to improve the relationship between the business and the other entity
  • Compile reports about particular incidents, events or updates about important issue for the business
  • Proactively solve conflicts and address issues that could occur between the business and the other entity
  • Promptly respond to incidents and other events as necessary
  • Act as a positive representation of the business to the community

Qualifications, requirements and experience

  • 2+ years of experience in a related role
  • Customer-oriented attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including fluency (written and oral) in Mandarin and/or Cantonese Chinese
  • Ability to establish and nurture beneficial business relationships
  • Preparedness to travel frequently between the UK and China
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to take initiative and solve complex problems
  • Positively influence outcomes at all levels across each organisation
  • Capability to negotiate with and influence others
  • Analytically and mathematically minded to analyse data and create necessary reports
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment
